Carlos Boozer said that he "absolutely" sees himself as a starter for the Lakers at his introductory press conference on Friday. Boozer will join a crowded frontcourt of Julius Randle, Ed Davis, and Jordan Hill, but it wouldn't be shocking to see him as a starter in LA. Things could change if the season progresses and the Lakers have a losing record, which could prompt the team to move in the direction of player development, but that's a discussion for another day. Boozer spent a lot of time on the bench during the fourth quarter last season in Chicago in favor of a better defender in Taj Gibson, but LA doesn't have that luxury, so it's possible Boozer sees an uptick in his minutes of 28.2 per game last season. Boozer looks like a late-round pick in standard leagues.
