Calderon endured a frustrating opening season with the Knicks, playing a career-low 42 games and averaging 9.1 points, 4.7 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.4 three-pointers in 30.2 minutes per game. Calderon arrived in New York via trade last summer and immediately was expected to reinvigorate the team's point guard position. However, following a preseason calf injury, Calderon missed the Knicks' first 13 games, before a sore left Achilles ended his season on Feb. 25. Even when healthy, the 33-year-old Calderon's fantasy value was less than admirable, as he experienced his worst statistical season since his first couple years in the league. Under contract in New York for two more seasons, the aging Calderon will get a chance to redeem himself next season, but his production represents more of a back-up point guard option.
