Bynum appears locked in as the third-string point guard as training camp nears. Brandon Jennings is still locked in as the Pistons starter, and the team brought in D.J. Augustin via free agency this offseason. Bynum opened up the 2013-14 campaign as the No. 3 point guard as well, but he still managed to carve out nearly 19 minutes per game for the second consecutive season. First-year Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy values three-point shooting, which isn't a strength of Bynum's and should lead to many of the backup minutes going to Augustin.
