Brian Roberts' contract for 2013-14 will become fully guaranteed if the Pelicans don't waive him by July 20th. The deal is worth $789k but only $50k is currently guaranteed. He played in 78 games last season and his salary is reasonable for a backup PG, but there may not be space for him in a backcourt with Jrue Holiday, Pierre Jackson, Austin Rivers and Tyreke Evans. Roberts will have a chance to sway GM Dell Demps during Summer League in Las Vegas.
