Bennett had his 2015-16 contract option picked up by Minnesota on Sunday. Bennett hasn't played a regular season game for Minnesota yet, but the team confirmed Sunday that they are committed to the 21-year-old for the next two years. When the season starts, the second-year player will likely come off the bench in relief of Thaddeus Young.
