Bass tallied 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and a block over 23 minutes in Thursday's 109-108 preseason victory over the Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Bass shared the bench scoring lead with Mareese Speights in what was his best performance in four preseason contests. The dependable veteran got the exhibition slate started with a forgettable 1-for-7 night against the Warriors on Oct. 4, but has shot 63.2 percent (12-for-19) over the subsequent three games. Bass at times proved capable of offering solid production last season with the Lakers over 20.3 minutes per contest, but could see a drop in playing time due to Speights' presence, as well as the ability of DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin to shoulder a heavy workload.
