Barnes (rest) will start at small forward for Tuesday's game against the Kings, Mike Peasley of 103.3FM ESPN reports.

Coach Rick Carlisle indicated earlier Tuesday that he was planning on resting some of his veterans, but it appears Barnes won't be one of them. He'll start at small forward, with Dwight Powell and Nerlens Noel joining him in the frontcourt. Look for Barnes to take on his usual workload with the starters, so go ahead and activate him as usual. Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles) and Wesley Matthews (rest) will be sidelined Tuesday as well, which could help Barnes see his usage climb.
