Barnes provided 14 points (4-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one steal over 36 minutes in Saturday's 107-85 loss to the Spurs.
EDGE Analysis
The Warriors' decision to sit four of five starters allowed Barnes entry into the first unit and afforded him his highest allotment of minutes since joining Golden State at the trade deadline. The veteran responded with his best scoring, rebounding and assist totals since his arrival, despite running into foul trouble. Given his performance Saturday and the concurrent struggles of rookie Patrick McCaw, who's been starting in place of Kevin Durant (knee), Barnes could conceivably retain the top small forward spot moving forward.
