Barnes finished with nine points (3-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 30 minutes during the Grizzlies' 94-68 loss to the Spurs on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Through two playoff games, Barnes has gone four-of-18 from the field for a grand total of 11 points while averaging five rebounds, 1.5 assists to 2.5 turnovers, and 0.5 steals in 27 minutes per game. The Spurs' defense is simply one of the best the NBA has ever seen, and the Grizzlies are overmatched without Mike Conley (Achilles) and Marc Gasol (foot). This is forcing Barnes and other role players to shoulder an offensive load that is outside of their comfort zones, and it will be exceedingly difficult for Memphis to compete closely with San Antonio in either of the next two contests.
