Sims has been sidelined since Dec. 18 with a right ankle sprain, but he'll return a couple days before his initial target date. Isaiah Hartenstein has played well as New York's starting center, so presumably, Sims will pick up the backup center minutes that Taj Gibson has been soaking up.
