Anthony and a top-eight 2016 protected first-round pick were traded to the Rockets on Thursday in exchange for Donatas Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anthony had only made appearances in 13 games for the Pistons this season as he was slotted into an emergency role behind Andre Drummond and Aron Baynes. His opportunities with his new employer will be virtually the same while now playing behind Dwight Howard and Clint Capela, with Josh Smith even able to play spurts at center for interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff. With little hope for fantasy relevancy in the remainder of the season, Anthony has one year remaining on his contract following the current campaign, which means he's in line to remain in Houston through the 2016-17 season.
