Allen poured in 19 points (7-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 38 minutes in Saturday's 110-89 win over the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Allen's strong defense didn't translate to a big steal or rebound total, but his intensity on that end of the floor played no small part in the Warriors' backcourt tandem of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson shooting a combined 8-of-28 from the field on the night. It was more surprising that Allen was able to finish as the team's co-leader in scoring with Marc Gasol, but perhaps those tracking his game logs weren't as stunned. Allen has scored at least 15 points in three of his last four games, and with the Grizzlies still down several key rotation regulars, he should continue to take on more offensive responsibilities until further notice.
