Allen (knee) suggested he was day-to-day heading into Monday's game against the Nuggets, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Allen, who has missed the Grizzlies' last four games, said that a recent MRI on his ailing left knee came back clean, and after receiving treatment Sunday, it appears he's starting to notice progress in his recovery. Even so, since he has yet to practice or participate in shootaround since suffering the injury, it seems unwise to count him in for Monday's game. Look for P.J. Hairston to make another start at shooting guard.
