Allen (knee) returned to the lineup in a big way Monday, scoring a season-high 26 points (11-17 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) with five steals and four assists over 34 minutes in a 106-103 win against the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
Forget the fact that this is Tony Allen we're talking about here and consider that the defensive specialist had missed the past eight games with a knee injury. All he did in his return was help the Grizzlies take down the top team in the Eastern Conference on the road. It's safe to say Allen was a DFS lottery ticket Monday and likely won't sniff this type of scoring performance again this season.
