Allen (groin) finished with 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one block across 18 minutes in Friday's 80-64 win over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
This ugly, rock fight of a game was well-suited to Allen's hard-nosed defensive style, but quite surprisingly, the veteran was one of the game's top offensive contributors in his return from a groin injury, which had sidelined him in the preceding four contests. Allen was under a minutes restriction and came off the bench Friday, but it's expected that he'll eventually take back the starting shooting guard role away from James Ennis as he becomes further removed from the injury.
