Adams could have a chance to earn more regular rotation minutes since Vince Carter is dealing with a left foot tendon injury. Adams has now played in nine of the Grizzlies' last 20 games after appearing in only four of the first 26 games this season. Though Adams is unlikely to have much value this season, Carter's nearly 17 minuets per game has to be played by someone, and the aging legend will not be rushed back, as the goal is to have V.C. fully healthy for the playoff run. Coach Dave Joerger has shown he is willing to trot out two-point guard lineups featuring some combination of Mike Conley, Beno Udrih and Nick Calathes, so it's possible Adams will for the most part remain buried on the Grizzlies' bench. However, Adams' size, three-point shooting and defense could help him earn some of Carter's minutes, and the Grizzlies could view this as a good opportunity to give Adams a few more meaningful NBA minutes and ultimately help his development going forward.
