A source tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that Andrew Bynum is considering season-ending surgery on his right knee. The surgery would be an arthroscopic procedure designed to clean out loose cartilage. Bynum is already almost certainly done for the season, but the potential surgery would make it official. After participating in a scrimmage one week ago, Bynum's knee swelled up and he's been unable to do any basketball activities since. As an impending unrestricted free agent, he'll be one of the biggest risk/reward players on the market. Bynum's knee issues are clearly chronic.
