He most recently underwent a resurfacing procedure on the hip this past May and is reportedly fully healthy again, so he'll be looking to prove he still has something left in the tank when he suits up for Team USA. If Thomas can demonstrate some semblance of his old self in the tournament, an NBA team could look to bring him aboard as a scoring option off the bench.

In that span, Thomas has appeared in just 84 total games, 40 of which came with the Wizards in 2019-20. At the trade deadline, Thomas was dealt to the Clippers and subsequently waived.

EDGE Analysis

Thomas reached double figures in scoring for the fourth game in a row, but it came with little in the way of supporting production outside of the three-pointers category. The 16 points were actually Thomas' most in 11 games, so even his upside in that category is fairly muted these days. He shapes up as a better fantasy option in 14-team and 16-team leagues than anything shallower than that, and as a veteran on an expiring deal, Thomas seems more likely to see his role shrink rather than grow as the Wizards play out the string on a non-contending season.

Thomas tallied 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), four assists, three rebounds and one block in 22 minutes during Thursday's 124-112 win over the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

Thomas wasn't all that efficient as a scorer or distributor, finishing with almost as many turnovers (three) as dimes. However, he has now reached double figures in scoring in consecutive contests for the first time this month. With the lowly Hawks on tap for Sunday, Thomas has another solid opportunity to fill it up offensively.
