Hasheem Thabeet (sore lower back) sat out his second straight game on Sunday. Thabeet's absence goes unremarked in all but the deepest fantasy leagues, as he's averaging 2.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 blocks.

Hasheem Thabeet will not play on Friday against the Magic due to a sore back. Thabeet's minimal minutes will get absorbed by Kendrick Perkins, Serge Ibaka and Nick Collison.

Hasheem Thabeet started at center on Wednesday, scoring six points with two rebounds and one block in 11 minutes. Thabeet ranks eighth in the league in points per shot attempt, which isn't hard to believe considering he's made just two jumpers all year compared to 43 dunks, layups and tip-ins. He was also drafted before James Harden in the 2009 NBA Draft, so he'll need a miracle to shed the "bust" label.

We haven't written about Thabeet since Nov. 27, which should tell you all you need to know about his season. He's averaging just 2.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game and hasn't scored or rebounded in double digits since Nov. 26. He'll likely return to a minimal role once Perkins is healthy.

Hasheem Thabeet scored a career-high 13 points with 10 rebounds and a block over 27 minutes in Monday's blowout win over the Bobcats. Thabeet has graduated from embarrassment to well-below average this season, and this might be his best line of the season. We'll let you know if it's not, obviously.

Hasheem Thabeet suffered a mild left ankle sprain in Thursday's game and has been cleared to return. He tried to stay in the game and he was able to make it back to the locker room under his own power without much of a limp. It doesn't appear to be serious since he's already back on the bench. Thabeet is getting some playing time with 14.8 minutes per game entering tonight's game. He left with no points and two boards in 10 minutes.
