Allen led the Suns on offense, which is surprising given that Bradley Beal made his debut, albeit on restricted minutes, and Kevin Durant was also available. Allen has adjusted well to a starting role in the early stages of the season, and while he's ticketed to move back to the bench when Beal and Devin Booker (calf) are fully healthy, fantasy managers should take advantage of his upside while it lasts.

Similar to Eric Gordon, Allen has been forced to handle a bigger-than-expected role due to the injury issues of Bradley Beal (back) and Devin Booker (calf), but he seems to be handling it well. Allen can produce regardless of whether he plays as a starter or off the bench, but he's undoubtedly enjoying an uptick in his fantasy upside due to the expanded role. While it's too early to suggest he will experience a long-term uptick, he can be a serviceable streaming option in most formats as long as he remains part of the first unit.

Allen provided 19 points (5-9 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one block across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 115-114 loss to San Antonio.

Allen had a bigger role on offense with both Devin Booker (foot) and Bradley Beal (back) sidelined, and the veteran sharpshooter responded with his best scoring output of the young season. Allen has eclipsed the 15-point mark in the two games the Suns haven't had their starting backcourt duo available, and he figures to have a prominent role until Booker and Beal return.

Allen finished Saturday's 126-104 win over the Jazz with 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and two steals across 31 minutes.

After combining for just six points in the first two games of the season, Allen was much more involved on the offensive side with Devin Booker (foot) out for the second straight game. Fourteen of his 17 points came in the third quarter, helping the Suns extend their lead to 28 heading into the final frame. For as long as Booker and Bradley Beal (back) are out, Allen and Eric Gordon will be called upon to help Kevin Durant with the scoring load.

Allen finished Thursday's 100-95 loss to the Lakers with six points (2-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds and four assists across 35 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

With Bradley Beal (back) sidelined, Allen has started each of the Suns' first two regular-season games. However, the sharpshooter hasn't been very productive, averaging just 3.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists across 28.0 minutes per game. Allen's floor-spacing ability should fit well with the star-studded Suns' roster, and he'll likely have a few games where his three-point shot is falling. Nonetheless, fantasy managers probably can't count on quality outings from the Duke product consistently, especially when Beal and Devin Booker (foot) return to action.

One wing position is an open competition in Phoenix, and Allen got another opportunity to show his stuff Monday. Okogie is a better defender, and he's more likely to be the starter at the three to begin the regular season.
