Hayward (calf) has resumed light on-court work but isn't expected to return to game action for at least another week, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward will miss a 10th consecutive game Wednesday in New Orleans. The veteran forward looks like he'll have more absences in his future after having thus far made only limited progress in his recovery from the left calf strain he sustained Dec. 26. Until Hayward can take part in full-contact practice sessions, the Hornets likely won't be able to provide a clear target date for his return to the lineup. Given the murkiness of his return timetable, along with the fact that Charlotte could have all of its other key contributors healthy by the time he's cleared to play again, Hayward is difficult to justify holding in shallower leagues or leagues with limited injured reserve spots.

Charlotte announced Thursday that Hayward will have his left calf strain re-evaluated in two weeks.
EDGE Analysis
With this news, Hayward will miss at least the next seven games for Charlotte. That means the earliest possible return date will be Jan. 12 against the Spurs. With the veteran forward out of the lineup for a couple of weeks, the Hornets will need guys like Cody Martin and Bryce McGowens to step up.

Hayward (calf) won't play in Thursday's game against the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward exited Tuesday's contest with a strained left calf, and he'll end up missing Thursday's tilt due to the matter. With Thursday's contest being the first of a back-to-back, Hayward won't have much time to rest before Charlotte's game against the Suns on Friday. In the meantime, expect Cody Martin and Bryce McGowens to pick up some extra minutes.

Hayward has been ruled out for the remainder of Tuesday's game against the Clippers due to a left calf strain.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward has missed just three of Charlotte's first 28 games this season, two due to illness and one due to hamstring soreness. However, the 33-year-old was moving gingerly exiting the court Tuesday, so his status will need to be monitored leading up to games on Thursday and Friday.

Hayward (illness) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward missed back-to-back games due to a stomach virus but will return to action Wednesday. Over his last seven appearances, Hayward has averaged 19.4 points, 5.0 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.4 minutes per game, but he may be subject to a minute restriction versus Indiana.

Hayward (illness) is probable to play Wednesday versus Indiana.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward has missed back-to-back games due to a stomach virus, but he should return to action Wednesday. Charlotte lost to Toronto on Monday with only 10 players active, so Hayward being available would be a boost to the wing rotation.

Hayward (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Raptors.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward was questionable for Monday's matchup due to his stomach virus and will officially be unavailable for a second consecutive game. P.J. Washington will be available Monday and should see increased run, especially with Miles Bridges (not injury related) unavailable, while JT Thor, Brandon Miller and Bryce McGowens are also candidates to see an uptick in usage.

Hayward (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Hayward is battling a stomach virus, which also sidelined him for Saturday's loss to Philadelphia. His status could come down to pregame warmups Monday. P.J. Washington (shoulder) is also questionable, so Brandon Miller and JT Thor could be due for enlarged workloads, in addition to a heavy dose of Miles Bridges, if Charlotte is shorthanded.
