Aldemir is in the process of finalizing a four-year contract with Turkish club Darussafaka, David Pick of Basketball Insiders reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldemir was one of the Sixers' final cuts in training camp in October, and after failing to attract any interest from other NBA teams before opening night, it appears he's content to return to his home country rather than pursue an opportunity in the D-League. The former second-round pick averaged 2.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game with Philadelphia in 2014-15.

Aldemir (foot) was released by the 76ers on Monday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's an interesting move by the Sixers considering Aldemir's contract was guaranteed for nearly $3 million this season. However, they'll move on from the Turkish big man, who appeared in 41 games, making nine starts, last season. With Aldemir out of the picture, Christian Wood will make the team's final, 15-man roster.

Aldemir (foot) sat out of Thursday's practice and will miss Friday's game against the Celtics, reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldemir is dealing with a case of plantar fasciitis, and though it was thought he might be closer to full health for the 76ers' Friday game against the Celtics, it is looking now like his injury might keep him grounded for longer than expected.

Aldemir was a partial participant in Wednesday's practice due to a case of plantar fasciitis in his right foot, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The fact that Aldemir was able to see involvement in practice in some capacity suggests the injury isn't overly severe. It's expected that he'll be closer to full health in advance of the Sixers' final preseason contest Friday against the Celtics.

Aldemir put up an impressive double-double on Friday, posting 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-7 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in a loss to the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
Aldemir was receiving treatment at Tuesday's practice for an undisclosed injury, so it appears the ailment is no big deal with this impressive performance. This is the player the Sixers were expecting when they acquired him, as a rebounding monster. Unfortunately, that's about all that Aldemir can provide and that makes him tough to own for fantasy purposes.

Aldemir received treatment Tuesday for an undisclosed injury, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldemir was still able to take part in some shooting drills Tuesday, and at this time, it's expected that he'll be available off the bench for Friday's preseason tilt with the Wizards. The 6-foot-9 forward from Turkey will need a strong showing in the Sixers' remaining exhibition contests in order to stave off undrafted rookie Christian Wood for a roster spot.

Aldemir has attempted more three-pointers in the first two summer league games than he did his entire rookie season. Aldemir has hit 3-of-6 attempts from deep, an improvement from his 0-of-5 display in 41 games last season. Hitting three-pointers will earn anyone minutes in the rotation; he just needs to prove that two days worth of data isn't a fluke. With the Sixers' frontcourt depth, it's difficult to project meaningful minutes in Aldemir's sophomore season.

Aldemir has started both summer league games at power forward for the 76ers, averaging 5.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 1.0 assist, and 0.5 steals in 29 minutes per game. Aldemir has played solid basketball thus far in the summer league. He exploded in Tuesday's game with the Celtics, racking up 14 rebounds and three blocks. Alongside his defensive outburst, Aldemir scored 11 points and, surprisingly enough, went 3-of-5 from three-point territory. If he can continue this type of production on both sides of the ball, Aldemir could see an increase in minutes in the upcoming season on a young, unproven 76ers' roster. Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel should get the bulk of the Sixers' frontcourt minutes next season, but if Joel Embiid (foot) is unable to play, Aldemir could be in line to serve as the primary backup in the frontcourt.

Aldemir averaged 2.3 points, 0.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 0.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 13 minutes per game for 41 regular season games in 2014-15. Aldemir came from overseas and formally joined the 76ers in December. He mostly came off the bench, but got to start in April, as the team allowed its younger players to gain experience. Until Joel Embiid fully recovers from his surgery, Aldemir will be able to get minutes at center and possibly slide into the starting lineup. The 23-year-old isn't a real fantasy asset yet, but he'll have the chance to get solid minutes on a depleted 76ers roster in 2015-16.
