Still, the rookie is averaging 14.9 points per game on 50.1 percent shooting through 47 starts. Mobley next plays Friday against the Pacers.

Mobley was sharp from the field and active on the glass en route to his first double-double since Jan. 24, but more importantly, he made an impact after three subpar (for his standards) performances. The rookie big man continues to show he's been one of the league's best first-year players and is averaging 16.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 blocks per contest over his last 10 appearances.

Mobley posted four points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 23 minutes during Monday's 93-90 victory over New Orleans.

EDGE Analysis

Mobley logged his second fewest minutes of the season, with head coach J.B. Bickerstaff choosing not to use him in crunch time for reasons unknown. Monday marked a major outlier for Mobley, as the rookie failed to reach double-digit scoring for just the fifth time this season. However, Wednesday against the Rockets marks an excellent bounce back opportunity for the 20-year-old stud.

Mobley was once against solid, and he logged a strong plus-11 in what was a signature win. Averaging 15.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, Mobley has been a metronome for Cleveland this season. He also supplied a sweet highlight -- ending a baseline cut by drawing a foul and then dunking on Giannis Antetokounmpo. He now gets a few days off, but Mobley is a boom candidate Sunday against the Pistons

EDGE Analysis

Mobley helped the Cavaliers continue their winning ways on the back of his second straight double-double and his most assists in his last six games, but the poor showing from the free-throw line dinged the overall impact of his stat line. The star rookie's 67.4 percent mark from the charity stripe this season is about the only blemish on his sterling profile, though there's reason to suspect that he'll improve in that area to some degree as his career unfolds.

Mobley racked up a career-high 17 rebounds in the victory, aiding the Cavaliers to win its sixth contest over a seven-game span. Even though Mobley only has one double-double since exiting the league's health and safety protocols after Christmas, he has scored 15 or more points in all but one of those 11 contests.
