Gordon is expected to only appear in one of the two games in the back-to-back set Friday against the Raptors and Saturday against the Thunder, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It's unclear which of the two games Gordon will suit up for, but it sounds like the veteran is only on tap for one contest. The injury report released later Thursday should clarify his status for Friday's tilt against the Raptors.

Gordon accumulated 25 points (8-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-9 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 112-106 win over the Thunder.

Gordon was coming off a 24-point performance and has cleared 30 minutes in his last eight active games. Kevin Porter Jr. (left foot contusion) remains without a timetable, but the Rockets are hoping to get Jalen Green (calf) back this weekend. Gordon's minutes and touches appear to be secure for the short term, but a lot of eyes will be on him with the trade deadline approaching.

Gordon totaled 24 points (8-17 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), seven assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Saturday's 117-114 win over the Pistons.

EDGE Analysis

Gorden couldn't find his shooting touch from beyond the arc, but he still managed to lead the game in scoring with his 17 attempts from the field. He was able to rebound nicely from his last performance, when he was held to only nine points over 31 minutes Wednesday against the Wizards.

With point guard Kevin Porter (foot) missing his third straight game, Gordon stepped up as a facilitator, finishing the night as the Rockets' leading assist man. Assuming Porter's absence doesn't prove to be an extended one, Gordon can't be depended on to regularly offer useful production in the assists column. Instead, Gordon is best utilized as a streaming option for points, free-throw percentage and three-pointers in games when Houston is without one of its other four starters (Porter, Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith).

Gordon totaled 24 points (8-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block across 30 minutes during Sunday's 121-100 loss to the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

Gordon led all Houston players in scoring while tying a season-high scoring mark that he also tallied Nov. 18 against Indiana. Gordon has tallied 10 or more points in eight of his last 10 games.

Head coach Stephen Silas relayed Thursday that Gordon will be available sans restrictions for the evening's contest versus the Jazz, Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.

Gordon hasn't appeared in both legs of a back-to-back set yet this season, but that will change Thursday. Per Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle, Gordon's health is reportedly improving, and the hope is that he will be able to appear regularly in back-to-backs moving forward.

Gordon has scored in double digits in three of Houston's last four games, but he won't have a lot of value until he can shoot the rock on a consistent basis. He's made just 37.4 percent of his shots from the field and 34.8 percent from three since the start of December.
