The Jazz are recalling Harkless from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Wednesday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

With Lauri Markkanen out with a back issue, Utah has called up Harkless as a reserve option ahead of Wednesday's game against the Warriors. The 25-year-old has logged 15.0 minutes per game over nine appearances with the Jazz this year, so he may get some court time against Golden State in his first game back with the parent club.

Harkless racked up 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt), four rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block in 22 minutes during Saturday's 125-103 loss to the Grizzlies.

Harkless recorded career highs in both points and steals Saturday, leading both teams with a game-high three swipes. The 24-year-old latched on with the Jazz via a two-way contract in late December and has played in seven consecutive outings, during which he has averaged 4.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 16.9 minutes per game.

The Jazz and Harkless agreed to a two-way contract Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Harkless was a standout player for the San Diego Clippers in the G League, averaging 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.3 steals. He'll likely feature for the Salt Lake City Stars going forward.

The Clippers waived Harkless on Saturday.
