With Daniels being a late addition to Atlanta's injury report with ankle soreness Monday, the Hawks' backcourt could be significantly shorthanded in the absence of Trae Young (hamstring). Bogdan Bogdanovic and Garrison Mathews could be in store for amplified roles against Minnesota.

Daniels will look to stay hot in a rematch with the Raptors on Saturday.

Trae Young had a subpar performance Wednesday, but Daniels stepped up and was impressive on both ends of the court. This was his second double-double of the season and the second time he reached the 20-point mark over his last three outings. The scoring exploits don't stop there, however, as Daniels has also scored in double digits in eight of his last nine outings, averaging 14.8 points per contest in that stretch.

Daniels provided 23 points (11-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Saturday's 119-115 overtime win over the Celtics.

Daniels closed Wednesday's 110-94 win over Chicago with 18 points (7-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-7 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 34 minutes.

The 21-year-old is having a career year as a starter in Atlanta. He's established himself as one of the league's best defenders, averaging an NBA-high 3.1 steals. He's also getting it done offensively, posting a career-high 13.0 points per game with his best efficiency yet from the field (45.0 percent) and from three (31.6 percent).

Daniels and the Hawks will not play against the Rockets on Saturday, as the game has been postponed due to severe weather and hazardous icy conditions in the Atlanta area.

The Hawks are set to host the Suns on Tuesday, but the NBA has yet to announce when Saturday's game will be rescheduled. Regardless, it is worth monitoring the situation in case the hazardous weather conditions also cause Tuesday's matchup to be postponed.

The rest of his game waxes and wanes, but he's still averaging a solid 12.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists during this stretch.
