Powell started for the sixth straight game but once again failed to come close to putting up tangible fantasy production. He is currently the 250th ranked player this season, presenting as the poster child for players whose real-life value far outweighs their fantasy value. Barring a huge shift, he can be left on waivers in all but the deepest of formats.

The Mavs coaching staff appears to be mulling over whether to rest McGee, and McGee's status will directly impact how much Powell will see the floor. Powell has logged just seven minutes of action total through the first four games, but that number will presumably jump up if McGee takes a blow. Christian Wood is also a candidate to see some extra action, though it would apparently remain in a bench role capacity.

Powell amassed two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one block in 16 minutes during Monday's 110-104 win over the Jazz.

Powell played only 16 minutes and was a non-factor on both sides of the ball in Monday's Game 2 win. Most of the fanfare went to Jalen Brunson and Maxi Kleber in the victory while Powell posted one of his worst stat lines of the season, netting only one rebound in 16 minutes. By staying largely out of Rudy Gobert's way, the Mavericks may have found the ideal method to beat the Jazz, but the scheme will wreak havoc on Powell's output moving forward.

Powell produced 18 points (7-7 FG, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 28 minutes during Friday's 128-78 win over the Trail Blazers.

EDGE Analysis

Powell was perfect from the field for a second consecutive game and scored at least 18 points for the sixth time this season. Since the beginning of March (20 games), Powell has averaged 12.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 25.9 minutes per game.

Powell closed Wednesday's 131-113 victory over the Pistons with nine points (3-3 FG, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal over 30 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Powell popped for a big double-double Sunday with Maxi Kleber (ankle) out, but he posted a much more modest line Wednesday despite Kleber being inactive again. Although underwhelming, it's on brand for Powell, as he's collected just two double-doubles all season. Powell will be 31 years old come the 2022-2023 season.

Powell logged 22 points (8-10 FG, 6-6 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 31 minutes during Sunday's 118-112 victory over the Bucks.

EDGE Analysis

Powell has definitely seen an uptick in minutes and production recently as he tries to pick up the slack amid Kristaps Porzingis; departure. Although double-digit rebound totals have been elusive, he's delivered double-digit scoring totals in seven of his past 10 games.
