The three steals were an outlier for Robinson, but the second-year swingman should continue to pile up the three-point buckets while he retains a spot in the starting lineup. Over his seven starts this season, Robinson is averaging a robust 2.9 triples per game. Robinson may not have much long-term utility as a three-point streamer, however, as he's a prime candidate to move to the bench and see his minutes tail off dramatically when Justise Winslow (concussion) is cleared to play again.

Robinson tallied 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-7 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes Thursday in the Heat's 108-97 win over the Cavaliers.

Robinson has started six of the Heat's last seven games, averaging 9.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 triples in 25.9 minutes per contest over that span. It's worth noting that in the lone game that he came off the bench, Robinson played only 11 minutes, and that sort of minimal role is probably what he'll be looking at when the Heat are back to full strength. The impending returns of Justise Winslow (concussion) and Derrick Jones (hip) could leave Robinson as more of a ninth or 10th man in coach Erik Spoelstra's rotation.

Robinson is starting Thursday's game against the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson logged just 11 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's matchup against Denver, but he'll draw his third start of the season Thursday with Justice Winslow (head) out of commission. He's averaging 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in the two contests he's started this year.

Robinson will return to a reserve role for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson replaced Justise Winslow (back) in the Heats' starting lineup for the previous two games, and performed remarkably well. However, Winslow will be back against the Nuggets, so Robinson will return to the bench and presumably his usual workload.

Robinson recorded 23 points (8-12 FG, 7-11 3Pt), six rebounds, two blocks, and one assist in 36 minutes during Sunday's 129-100 win over the Rockets.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson finished with career highs in points, boards, threes, and minutes while matching his best block total. It was a spectacular showing for the sophomore small forward, who has now reached double figures in scoring in three of the last four games while scoring more than 20 points twice in that same span. With that being said, Robinson has combined to score 12 points across his other three appearances this season, so he's fairly inconsistent.

Robinson is starting Thursday against the Hawks.

Robinson will join the starting five Thursday with Justise Winslow unavailable due to a lower-back injury. He's seen north of 20 minutes in three of four games this season, averaging 11.0 points in those contests.

Robinson was one of the big losers of Jimmy Butler making his season debut Tuesday after three consecutive absences. The second-year swingman had played exactly 23 minutes in the Heat's prior three contests, but dropped out of the rotation with Butler back in the fold. Playing time will be even harder to come by for Robinson once Derrick Jones (groin) is cleared to play or if coach Erik Spoelstra decides to break Dion Waiters and/or James Johnson into the rotation at any point.

Robinson played 23 minutes off the bench and provided 21 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3PT, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two blocks and one assist in Sunday's 116-109 loss to the Timberwolves.

Robinson provided a spark off the bench for the Heat, leading the team in scoring behind Kendrick Nunn's 25 points. The returns of Jimmy Butler (personal) and Dion Waiters (suspension) will take away minutes from Robinson, however more strong performances could lead to steady minutes off the bench even with rookies Tyler Herro and Nunn already playing key roles to begin the season.

The Heat are opting to go big against the Spurs by including Robinson in a starting lineup alongside Bam Adebayo and Myers Leoanrd. There should not be much to read into here, as preseason is a time for coaches to play around with rotations.
