Brooks was not listed on Phoenix's injury report, but he was not present at shootaround. It sounds like he got the morning off as a precaution, and for now, fantasy managers can expect him in the lineup Thursday evening.

Brooks was effective inside the arc, but beyond that was a completely different story for the veteran wing Tuesday. That dropped Brooks to a 34.6 percent clip from beyond the arc for the season, but he is still averaging a career-high 21.3 points per game along with 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals over 30.8 minutes per game. He also received his 15th technical foul of the season Tuesday, and one more would result in an automatic one-game suspension.

Brooks finished Friday's 112-107 victory over the Knicks with 27 points (8-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds and five assists over 33 minutes.

Brooks turned in an efficient performance Friday, knocking down five triples and scoring 20-plus points for a second consecutive contest. The ninth-year forward finished as Phoenix's second-leading scorer, recording 20 of his 27 points in the first half. Additionally, he led the Suns in rebounds. Brooks has reached the 20-point threshold in three of his last four outings, during which he has averaged 21.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 31.5 minutes per tilt.

Brooks racked up 21 points (8-22 FG, 5-12 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 117-98 win over Memphis.

EDGE Analysis

Brooks is a hit-or-miss fantasy asset, but he's an invaluable member of the team's identity, and the Suns have made it clear he won't be moved ahead of the deadline. Over his last eight outings, Brooks is averaging 19.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.3 three-pointers on 43.6 percent shooting from the field.

Brooks closed Sunday's 108-105 victory over Oklahoma City with 22 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists over 34 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Brooks did most of his damage in the fourth quarter, scoring a game-high 14 points in the final frame. The veteran did commit a season-high five turnovers, but was a major piece of the Suns' 18-point comeback win over the Thunder. The 29-year-old is putting up career-best numbers as a scorer in his first season in Phoenix, scoring 20 or more points in 16 games and reaching double-figures in all 29 games played.

Brooks posted 20 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 3PT, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and three steals over 34 minutes during the Suns' 129-113 loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Brooks did all of his scoring in the first half before going 0-for-3 from the field in the second, but it was enough for the veteran forward to finish as the Suns' second-leading scorer behind Devin Booker (32 points). Brooks also recorded multiple steals for the 11th time this season, and his three steals were his most since Nov. 18 against the Trail Blazers. He'll finish the month of December having averaged 21.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 2.3 threes and 0.8 steals over 30.6 minutes per game in 12 outings.

Brooks finished with 14 points (5-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals across 33 minutes during Friday's 115-108 victory over the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

Although Brooks struggled from beyond the arc, he was still able to post a serviceable total in the win. The veteran forward has yet to log a single-digit scoring total this season, an under-the-radar streak that's now extended to 24 games. He's also blowing away his previous seasonal scoring totals with an average of 21.8 points per game this season.

Brooks registered 25 points (10-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in 24 minutes during Tuesday's 132-108 win over the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

While Brooks led all scorers on the night, he was curiously quiet in all other categories. The 29-year-old forward has drained multiple three-pointers in six straight games and nine of the last 10, averaging 22.5 points, 2.9 boards, 2.4 threes and 1.8 assists over that latter stretch.

EDGE Analysis

Brooks was hot to start Thursday's game, as he dropped in 13 points on seven shots in his first six minutes of play, and he finished as Phoenix's second-leading scorer in the narrow win. As good as he was, Brooks nearly cost Phoenix the game by picking up a silly technical foul late that put Golden State in the position to tie it up, but ultimately, the Suns were able to eke out a win and hit the brakes on a two-game skid.

Brooks was ejected during the final seconds of Sunday's 115-114 loss to the Lakers. He finished with 18 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one steal in 25 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Brooks knocked down a go-ahead three-pointer during the closing seconds, only to get in LeBron James' face after the fact, which earned him his second technical of the night. Brooks played through a questionable tag Sunday and made a massive impact on the game, and he'll likely be upset with himself for losing his composure late.
