Pittman was waived by the Hawks on Tuesday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Pittman, who spent time overseas last season, is likely destined for the same fate in 2014-15. He could also head to the D-League in hopes of earning an NBA call-up.

Pittman has struggled with weight issues in the past and is unlikely to make the final roster.

Dexter PIttman signed with Caciques de Humacao over the weekend. The Rockets signed him quickly after waiving Greg Smith, but Pittman didn't even play. He's still overweight and will have a tough time getting back in the NBA.

The Rockets plan to release Dexter Pittman and sign free agent Josh Powell. These minor roster tweaks may have implications for the Rockets postseason, but they're irrelevant for fantasy purposes.
