Jones has scored in double digits in back-to-back contests, setting him up for having a solid role Saturday in Game 6. He's averaging 9.8 points per game in the current postseason run.

Jones posted 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Sunday's 116-111 loss to the Clippers in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Jones responded from a scoreless outing in Game 3 by putting forth one of his best performances of the first-round series Sunday in Dallas' loss against Los Angeles. Although Jones briefly headed to the locker room Sunday, he ended second on the team in rebounds, matching his playoff high thus far, while ending as one of four Mavericks with a double-digit point total. Jones notched his highest scoring total of the series, surpassing the double-digit mark in three of his four postseason outings.

Jones (shoulder) is not in the official injury report and will be available with no limitations for Game 1 of the series against the Clippers on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Jones didn't play in the Mavericks' final game of the regular season since the coaching staff wanted to rest him before the start of the playoffs, but he shouldn't have any limitations against the Clippers on Sunday. Jones hasn't started a game for the Mavericks since Feb. 10, so he should see his regular minutes off the bench in the series opener.

Jones (shoulder) will not play Sunday against the Thunder.

This appears to be a minor issue for Jones, as coach Jason Kidd made it very clear previously that he would rest most of his rotation for the season finale.
