Valentine hasn't practiced yet due to a hamstring tweak and he won't play in the Bulls' first two preseason games, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valentine has struggled to stay healthy during his three years in the league, so this isn't a good start to the season. He hopes to practice Saturday, and we'll see if that happens. Regardless, he's unlikely to have a fantasy-relevant role this season.

Valentine and the Bulls have come to terms on a one-year, $4.7 million deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valentine was drafted by the Bulls in 2016 and has spent three of the last four years with the team. He averaged 6.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.3 triples across 13.6 minutes in 36 games last season. He projects to play a similar role this upcoming season, as he will primarily provide depth on the wing.

Valentine had 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and a steal in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 115-108 loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Again filling in for Zach LaVine (quad) Valentine reached double-digit scoring and has now done so in back-to-back games for the first time since mid-December. Potentially usable in deeper leagues, receiving only 18 minutes on a shorthanded roster may be symbolic of Chicago having little interest in expanding his ceiling going forward.

Valentine delivered 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 21 minutes during Monday's 109-107 win over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Valentine drew the start in place of Zach LaVine (quadriceps) and produced a solid showing, including a season high scoring total. It's unclear if LaVine will be ready to return for Wednesday's matchup versus the lowly Timberwolves, but if not Valentine could make for a decent cheap option in daily formats.

Valentine will get the start Monday against the Mavericks, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Zach LaVine nursing a quad injury, Valentine will move into the lineup for his start of the season. The former Michigan State standout recently missed seven games due to injury, but he returned to action Saturday in New York, playing 10 minutes off the bench and posting eight points and three rebounds.

Valentine (hamstring) put up eight points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt) and three rebounds in 10 minutes off the bench Saturday in the Bulls' 125-115 loss to the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Valentine was back in action for the Bulls after missing the previous seven games with a hamstring injury. Chicago may have been mindful to limit his playing time in his first game back from injury, but Valentine isn't projected to see his role grow much further from here, as he hasn't been a consistent member of the rotation when healthy this season. Once the likes of Otto Porter (foot) and Lauri Markkanen (pelvis) likely return to action at some point in March, Valentine will be a prime candidate to lose out on minutes.

Valentine (hamstring) is available for Saturday's game against the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
Hamstring soreness has been bothering Valentine lately, but he'll be able to make a return Saturday following a seven-game absence. Across his past six appearances, he's averaged 5.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal in 15.5 minutes.

Valentine is questionable for Saturday's game against the Knicks, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Jim Boylen was hopeful the 26-year-old would return at New York, but limited progress on his availability leaves him questionable for Saturday. Valentine has missed most of February due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Coach Jim Boylen said he's "hopeful" Valentine (hamstring) can play Saturday against the Knicks, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valentine has missed the past seven games due to a hamstring injury, but he's trending in the right direction after returning to practice Thursday. Look for his status to clear up closer to tipoff Saturday.

Valentine (hamstring) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Thunder, KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valentine is still nursing a hamstring injury from before the All-Star break, and this will mark his seventh straight absence. The Bulls will again have only nine active players Tuesday night.
