Jordan is expected to sign a one-year, $2.6 million contract with the Lakers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Last season with the Nets, Jordan averaged 7.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 blocks in 21.9 minutes, but his role was completely dissolved in the playoffs. In joining the Lakers, he's now part of a semi-crowded frontcourt rotation, and he'll be competing for center minutes with Marc Gasol, Dwight Howard and Anthony Davis. As a result, it would be somewhat surprising if Jordan saw 20-plus minutes regularly this season, which means he'll likely be irrelevant in fantasy.

Jordan will be bought out by the Pistons, with the veteran center giving back $4 million of the $20 million remaining on his deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Jordan's role diminished as last season progressed, the Nets decided to trade him in the offseason to the Pistons, who received cash and draft compensation to take on the contract. With Jordan now out of his deal, he's a free agent and can sign anywhere he pleases. Early reporting indicates the Lakers have a strong chance of landing him.

Jordan -- along with four future second-round picks and $5.78 million -- was traded from the Nets to the Pistons for Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya. Detroit is expected to negotiate a buyout with Jordan, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
In a cost-saving measure, the Nets attached picks and cash to move off Jordan's contract. It's extremely unlikely Jordan suits up for the Pistons, and he'll probably be bought out with the hopes of presumably signing with another contender.

Jordan and the Nets are working toward a buyout of the final two years of his contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While nothing is set in stone, Charania notes that "Jordan is increasingly unlikely to be part of the organization moving forward," so it appears both sides are motivated to agree to a buyout. The question is how much money the veteran big man will be willing to forfeit in order to become a free agent and presumably sign elsewhere. Jordan did not appear in the Nets' final 16 games last season, and if he were to remain in Brooklyn in 2021-22, he'd likely serve as the No. 3 center behind Blake Griffin and Nicolas Claxton.

Jordan is not in the starting five for Thursday's game against the Mavericks, Billy Reinhardt of NetsDaily.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jordan will be replaced by Blake Griffin in the starting rotation Thursday. The veteran has regularly bumped between the bench and starting five all season.

Jordan provided 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot across 24 minutes in Sunday's 117-114 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
The retirement of LaMarcus Aldridge was the best possible thing to happen to Jordan and his fantasy value, and his trajectory from DNP-CD casualty to starter seems to be complete. Although Blake Griffin and Jeff Green will get some play at the five, Jordan is easily their best true center at the moment. Coach Steve Nash will occasionally slide Green to the five to get Griffin into the starting lineup, but Jordan's height advantage and playoff experience will likely restrict that scenario in the playoffs.

Jordan will start Sunday's game against the Bucks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jordan is back in the starting lineup after he had only appeared in the rotation in one of the team's last three games. He's pulled down 11.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in his last two starts.

Jordan tallied seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 loss to the Raptors.
EDGE Analysis
Jordan moved back to the bench but still saw meaningful minutes at the center position. With Nicolas Claxton (health protocols) on the sideline, Jordan is the only true center still worthy of running out there. His playing time is likely to be up and down, but if you simply need boards and some blocks, he could certainly do the trick.
