Nwaba compiled 15 points (6-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, four steals, two assists and a block in 40 minutes during Friday's 112-106 loss to Maine.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba was productive on the scoreboard Friday, and he also led the team in steals during the narrow loss. He's now scored in double figures in three of his last four appearances.

Nwaba totaled six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two assists and a rebound in 32 minutes during Saturday's 122-108 win over Windy City.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba tallied 23 points during Motor City's last game, but he could not generate the same production Saturday despite topping 30 minutes as a starter. He's now averaging 12.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 34.6 minutes per game to begin the regular season.

Nwaba will be waived by the Thunder on Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba is being waived to make room for Isaiah Joe on the Thunder's roster. The 29-year-old forward was traded to OKC from Houston in late September. Last season, the journeyman played 46 games for the Rockets and averaged 5.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 steals in 13.2 minutes. Nwaba will look to join his seventh team in seven seasons.

Nwaba -- along with Sterling Brown, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss -- was traded from the Rockets to the Thunder on Thursday in exchange for Derrick Favors, Ty Jerome, Maurice Harkless, Theo Maledon and a 2025 second-round pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
A last-minute trade before the preseason starts, Nwaba is apparently heading to Oklahoma City where he'll try to earn a roster spot on a young squad. The forward appeared in 46 games last year with Houston and averaged 5.1 points and 3.3 rebounds and shot 48.3 percent overall from the field.

Nwaba registered 15 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal over 14 minutes during Sunday's 130-105 loss to the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba scored a season-high 15 points in the loss, highlighting just what a struggle it has been for him this season. In fact, he has scored in double-digits just six times, struggling to carve out a regular spot in the rotation. While the Rockets are likely to change up their rotation moving forward, it is unlikely they view Nwaba as a crucial piece of their future. Based on that fact, he is not a name to be monitoring outside of the deepest formats.

Nwaba will come off the bench Monday against Philadelphia, Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba started the previous four contests amid some injuries and COVID-19 absences, but the Rockets will shake things up and go with Jae'Sean Tate and Garrison Mathews on the wing Monday, while Jalen Green and Eric Gordon still start in the backcourt. Nwaba is capable of occasionally popping for some defensive production but overall he's not much of a fantasy consideration.

Nwaba will start Monday's game against the Hornets, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 in Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
With several players in COVID protocols and both Jalen Green (rest) and Kevin Porter (hamstring) unavailable, the Rockets will go with a smaller lineup and turn to Nwaba at power forward alongside Christian Wood. Nwaba should be set for a jump in minutes, but there's not a ton of fantasy upside here.

Nwaba closed with nine points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 15 minutes during Wednesday's 126-106 loss to Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba saw some additional playing time with the game result well and truly sealed by the final quarter. Despite a proven ability to at least flirt with 12-team value, Nwaba's role is simply not there at this point. Add to that the fact that he is not a part of their long-term plans, and you have a player who is unlikely to touch the fantasy landscape this season.

Nwaba (wrist) has agreed to a three-year, $15 million contract to stay with the Rockets, independent NBA writer Marc Stein reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba underwent surgery on his wrist in March and is out indefinitely, but that didn't stop him from signing a three-year contract with the Rockets. In his first season with Houston, the 28-year-old averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 22.6 minutes per game. Nwaba, when healthy, will have a significant role as an versatile defender off the bench even with talented players like Kevin Porter and 2021 No. 2 overall pick Jalen Green on the roster.

Nwaba (wrist) will undergo surgery, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nwaba was already slated to miss extended time with a sprained wrist even if he didn't undergo surgery, so this decision doesn't make a massive impact for the Rockets or fantasy managers. In his absence, Sterling Brown and Jae'Sean Tate should continue seeing expanded roles.
