Daniel Gibson (neck) has been released from a Boston hospital. Gibson is on his way back to Cleveland to meet with team doctors. If he gets active before Anthony Parker (back) returns, he'll have some deep-league appeal. Boobie is averaging 1.7 3-pointers per game on the year.

Daniel Gibson is being treated with antibiotics for a soft tissue infection, and remains in a Boston hospital as of Monday. We're not sure what the diagnosis is here but we hope it's not serious. When Gibson returns, he'll go back to being a deep league 3-point shooting specialist.

Daniel Gibson (neck) will not play against the Celtics Tuesday. Gibson stayed in Boston on Sunday night while his teammates traveled back to Cleveland for the second half of the home-at-home. He was having trouble moving his neck and thus stayed for more testing. Gibson is missing a golden opportunity for minutes with Anthony Parker's back acting up again.

Daniel Gibson (neck) is questionable to play vs. the Celtics on Tuesday. Gibson hurt himself on Friday and said he could barely turn his neck on Sunday. Owners in weekly leagues should obviously look for safer options.

Daniel Gibson, who has been bothered by a stiff neck, will not play on Sunday when the Cavaliers take on the Celtics. Gibson apparently hurt his neck during Friday's game, and even reported some swelling, too. At the moment, it's unclear how much time he could miss. Stay tuned.

Daniel Gibson (personal) returned to practice Monday. Gibson missed Saturday's game due to a death in the family. He'll be ready to serve as a 3-point specialist off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Heat.

Daniel Gibson will start at shooting guard in Tuesday's game against the Warriors. Anthony Parker (back) is out. Gibson has started 67 games in his career, averaging 11.8 points, 2.7 assists and 2.2 3-pointers in those contests. So far this season, he's averaging 1.8 3-pointers per game while playing just 24.6 minutes. With a boost to 28-31 minutes likely as the starter, Gibson makes for a very interesting spot-start option. Ramon Sessions and Alonzo Gee will also get a boost in minutes off the bench.

Daniel Gibson started the second half Monday in place of Anthony Parker (back). Gibson played 25 minutes, but went 0-of-5 from the field and had no steals, rebounds or assists. Chalk it up as an off nights. Coming into this one, Gibson had made 22 3-pointers in 11 games. He'll be a 3-point specialist if Parker misses time.

Daniel Gibson (sprained finger) scored 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting in Sunday's game, hitting 5-of-7 threes with one assist and one steal. Boobie's sprained finger obviously isn't affecting his release, which is good considering his 3-point shooting is his primary virtue. He got hot late and propelled the Cavs to a much-needed win against the reeling Nets, and should continue to play 20-30 minutes in his reserve role.
