Jones suffered a strained left shoulder during Saturday's game against the Pistons and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
The injury is enough to keep Jones out of Saturday's game, and it's not immediately clear if it will force an absence during Monday's game against the Hawks. Look for more information as gameday draws closer. If Jones misses the contest, Kevon Looney and Jordan Bell would presumably spend more time at center.

Jones will draw the start Friday against the Thunder, Mark Medina of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looks like the Warriors are playing Jones to be a better matchup against the Thunder's Steven Adams. Jones is averaging 17.2 minutes this season, but could see a larger role starting.

Jones will come off the bench Saturday against the Mavericks, Mike Peasley of 103.3FM ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Steve Kerr is opting to start Kevon Looney at center, pushing Jones to the pine. Over the past five games, Jones is averaging 5.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 18.4 minutes.

Jones went for 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 23 minutes in the Warriors' 134-111 loss to the Bucks on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After a multi-game downturn, Jones sprung back to life to an extent on the offensive end, posting his best scoring total since Oct. 22. The surge was almost certainly a byproduct of Draymond Green's absence with a toe injury, so it remains to be seen whether Jones can sustain it when the latter returns to the lineup. It's also worth noting that Jones hadn't logged more than 20 minutes in the prior seven games, and the extended playing time also likely stemmed from the Warriors being thinner than usual in the frontcourt.

Jones had six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT), and four rebounds in 16 minutes during Friday's 116-99 victory over the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Jones continues to start for the Warriors but has certainly declined after his impressive start to the season. The starting role is simply a label as his minutes fluctuate from game-to-game, resulting in limited production. Despite starting, he is not a standard league player, holding value in dynasty formats primarily.

Jones offered 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-5 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block across 20 minutes in the Warriors' 123-103 win over the Suns on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was back in double digits in the scoring column for the first time since the opener, and he continued offering serviceable production elsewhere relative to playing time. The young center's fantasy prospects are naturally capped considering his role as a fifth option on the offense and generally abbreviated playing time, but he's proven an ideal complementary fit thus far in his starting tenure. Jones is slated to keep a hold on the top job at the five until DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) is ready for a return.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after Tuesday's opener that Jones will remain the team's starting center, The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones looked plenty comfortable starting Tuesday night, finishing with 12 points, three rebounds and three blocks in 27 minutes of action. While that minutes total was a bit higher than expected, Jones' athleticism and defensive presence allowed Kerr to keep him on the floor for longer stretches. "He gave us exactly what we would hope - the lob threat, the presence inside, the ability to battle a great center, Steven Adams, put his size up against him and battled," Kerr said. After the game, Kerr confirmed to reporters that he'll stick with Jones for the time being, with Kevon Looney serving as the primary backup. "We're going to stay with (Jones)," Kerr said. "I don't know for how long, but we'll stay with him. We've got (Rudy) Gobert and (Nikola) Jokic coming up on this road trip and he's got the size and athleticism to deal with them and he's going to learn an awful lot. You come out of the gates in a season and face these three centers, he's seeing the best. I think it's great for him and we'll start him and see what happens."

Jones generated 12 points (6-7 FG), three rebounds, two assists and three blocks across 27 minutes in the Warriors' 108-100 win over the Thunder on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones opened the season in the starting center job he earned with a solid exhibition slate, and he responded by turning in a performance much like the ones that snagged him the spot in the first place. The young big man was an effective complementary option on the scoreboard, surprisingly checking in just two points behind a struggling Klay Thompson in scoring for the Warriors on the night. Essentially, any points the team can get from Jones is a bonus given the prolific upside of its superstars, putting him in a good position to succeed as he holds down the position until DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) is ready for action later this season.

Jones will start Tuesday against the Thunder, Sportando.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a solid preseason, Jones will be getting the starting center role heading into Tuesday's season opener. Last year, the Vanderbilt product spent most of the season in the G League but did, however, factor into 15 games with the Warriors where he averaged 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds.

Jones supplied 16 points (6-6 FG, 4-9 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 23 minutes in the Warriors' 119-105 preseason loss to the Lakers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones may have sealed the starting center job to open the season with this performance, which qualified as his second double-digit scoring effort of the last three games. Jones considerably outperformed both of his fellow competitors for the top job at the five -- Jordan Bell and Kevon Looney -- on Friday, and he'd be an interesting short-term add in deeper leagues for those looking to fortify their center depth chart to open the regular season.
