Brewer will be with the Thunder for Saturday's contest against the Trail Blazers but it's unclear if he'll play, Erik Horne of The Oklahoman reports.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer agreed to a contract with the Thunder on Thursday to join the team for a playoff run. He may not make his debut Saturday, however. More information should arrive closer to tipoff, as the team does not have morning shootaround considering it's the second night of a back-to-back.

Brewer has agreed to a contract with the Thunder, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

It was reported earlier this week that Brewer was likely to sign with the Thunder, so this update isn't all too surprising. While the deal won't go official until he clears waivers Friday, Brewer has committed to joining Oklahoma City, which gives the veteran a chance to make a playoff run after being bought out by the Lakers on Wednesday. Brewer is expected to fill a depth role on the wing for the Thunder, but despite the move to a new organization, he's unlikely to see much more playing time than the 12.9 minutes he averaged across 54 games in Los Angeles. For that reason, Brewer's fantasy value shouldn't change much and he's not a viable target in most leagues at this point.

Brewer will likely sign with the Thunder once he clears waivers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer was bought out by the Lakers on Wednesday and will now be subject to waivers, which he's expected to clear by Friday. If all goes as planned, Brewer is favoring a deal with the Thunder, though that won't be official until later this week. Brewer averaged just 12.9 minutes across 54 games with the Lakers and despite the change of scenery, he's unlikely to find much more playing time with a playoff contender. Continue to avoid Brewer for fantasy purposes until he proves worthy of a roster spot.

Brewer and the Lakers reached agreement Wednesday on a buyout of the forward's contract, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

Mark Stein of The New York Times first reported Tuesday that the two sides were in advanced negotiations for a buyout, and now the deal has been finalized. In securing the buyout before March 1, Brewer will be eligible to play in the postseason no matter where he lands. A number of contending teams in need of depth on the wing could have interest in Brewer, but regardless of where he signs, don't expect him to see much more than the 12.9 minutes per game he was averaging this season with the Lakers.

Brewer is in advanced negotiations with the Lakers on securing a buyout, Mark Stein of The New York Times reports.

EDGE Analysis

Expect the Brewer's representatives to reach a deal with the Lakers before Thursday, which marks the deadline for the veteran forward to sign with another team and gain eligibility to participate in the playoffs. Brewer is averaging a career-low 12.9 minutes per game in 54 appearances with Los Angeles this season and had seen his already-minimal role grow smaller following the All-Star break, as he's failed to leave the bench in two of the past three contests. Brewer's impending departure should open up a couple extra minutes for young wings like Josh Hart and Kyle Kuzma.

Brewer will shift back to a bench role for Sunday's game against the Knicks.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer picked up the start on Friday with Brandon Ingram (ankle) sidelined, posting four points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt), seven rebounds and two steals across 29 minutes. However, with Ingram set to rejoin the lineup Brewer will head back to the bench and should see a sizable decrease in his overall playing time. With the demotion, Brewer likely won't be someone to utilize for fantasy purposes.

Brewer will get a rare start at small forward Friday versus the Knicks, Bill Oram of The Orange County Register reports.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer will replace Brandon Ingram (ankle) in the starting lineup, marking his first stint with the first unit since the second game of the season. The Lakers are without three starters, so Brewer will presumably be in line for a heavier workload than usual.

Brewer tallied 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 19 minutes in Wednesday's 133-96 loss to the Thunder.

EDGE Analysis

After frequently seeing single-digit minute totals throughout the season, Brewer has experienced an uptick in opportunity recently. Factoring in Wednesday's contest, he's logged between 15 and 31 minutes in the last four games, and has logged double-digit tallies in six of his last nine overall. He's now posted back-to-back double-digit scoring efforts for the first time this season as well, numbers that have been partly enabled by a 56.0 percent success rate from the field over his last four contests. While it's difficult to gauge how much opportunity Brewer will see from night to night, the way he's responded to the recent playing time increase could continue to afford him solid minutes for the time being.

Brewer will get the start at small forward for Friday's game against the Suns, Craig Grialou of ArizonaSports.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer will replace Luol Deng in the starting lineup. He posted nine points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 12 minutes in Thursday's season opening loss to the Clippers. He will presumably see a heavier workload with his starting role Friday.

Brewer collected nine points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 12 minutes in Monday's 113-107 preseason loss to the Nuggets.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer and fellow veteran Luol Deng provided identical scoring tallies in their first game of head-to-head competition for the primary backup role at the three. The 31-year-old Brewer saw a career-low 15.6 minutes per contest while appearing in 82 games with the Rockets and Lakers but could see a slight bump in that allotment in the coming campaign if he can prevail in the preseason job battle.
