Aldrich is listed as the probable starting center for Friday's game against the Jazz, Cody Taylor of Basketball Insiders reports.

EDGE Analysis

DeAndre Jordan is one of five Clippers regulars who has been ruled out of the contest for rest purposes, so Aldrich figures to be in line for heavy minutes while working on the top unit. Aldrich has been a serviceable backup to Jordan when called upon off the bench, but has seen his production rise considerably in his three starts this season, averaging 14.7 points (on 56.3% shooting), nine boards, 2.3 assists, two steals, and one block over 27.7 minutes.

Aldrich finished with seven points (2-3 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocked shots in 18 minutes during Wednesday's win against the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

Aldrich recorded his second consecutive solid outing in as many nights against the lowly Lakers, racking up double-digit rebounds for the fourth time this season. The veteran center saw extended action again, as the Clippers had little use for their starters for the majority of the second half. Still, he is generally an afterthought with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan both healthy.

Aldrich recorded six points (3-4 FG), eight rebounds, one assist, and one block across 19 minutes during Tuesday's 103-81 win over the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

The blowout victory allowed Aldrich to absorb more court time than normal, and he could be in line for added minutes Wednesday with the Lakers and Clippers getting together again to finish off the back-to-back set. In more competitive contests, however, Aldrich figures to settle into the 10-to-15 minute range, as the recent return of Blake Griffin (quad) from injury gives the Clippers another option at center when DeAndre Jordan is on the bench.

Aldrich will start in Thursday's game against the Thunder, Anthony Slater of the Oklahoman reports.

EDGE Analysis

Aldrich is getting a rare start due to the Clippers resting DeAndre Jordan, J.J. Reddick, and Chris Paul. He's likely to see a large minutes increase while he's in the starting lineup, but he'll return to his role off of the bench as soon as Jordan returns to action.

Aldrich was on the court for only seven minutes in Wednesday's 114-98 loss to the Warriors, producing two points (1-2 FG), two rebounds, and two blocks.

EDGE Analysis

With starting center DeAndre Jordan (19 points, 20 boards in 38 minutes) tearing it up for the Clippers, coach Doc Rivers saw little reason to turn to Aldrich, the team's primary backup at the position. Playing time hasn't been abundant behind Jordan throughout the season, but with Jordan in the midst of one of his best stretches of the year, the minutes have been particularly sparse for Aldrich of late. Aldrich has seen fewer than 15 minutes in six consecutive games, and has been held to exactly two points on four straight occasions.

Aldrich had two points (1-2 FG), six rebounds, and two blocks in 11 minutes during the Clippers' 105-95 win against the Nets on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Aldrich has proven to be a reliable backup for the Clippers this season. However, DeAndre Jordan is used to seeing around 35 minutes per game, and coach Doc Rivers doesn't roll out any twin tower lineups. Through 37 appearances in 2015-16, Aldrich is averaging 5.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.8 blocks, and 0.6 steals across 12 minutes per game.

Aldrich recorded five points (2-3 FG, 1-5 FT), 11 rebounds, two blocks, and one assist in 13 minutes during the Clippers' 100-93 win against the Heat on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Aldrich grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds, and helped the Clippers earn a close win. After averaging 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.9 blocks, and 0.4 steals in 14 minutes per game in 14 January games, the big man has clearly earned himself the backup center role behind DeAndre Jordan. However, this doesn't afford Aldrich enough minutes to make much of an impact in fantasy on most nights.

Aldrich returned to the bench in Monday's 140-132 overtime win over the Rockets and provided eight points (3-5 FG, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and a block across 12 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Aldrich enjoyed an excellent two-game run as a starter in place of DeAndre Jordan (illness), producing totals of 38 points and 17 rebounds in wins over the Heat and Kings on Jan. 13 and Jan. 16, respectively. However, the good times came to an end for Aldrich on Monday, as Jordan was able to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup and finished with a double-double over 41 minutes, leaving Aldrich to pick up the remaining scraps of playing time behind him. That should be the norm for Aldrich going forward, so he's not really worth holding outside of very deep leagues.

Aldrich collected 19 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals over 29 minutes in Saturday's 110-103 loss to the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

The six-year veteran made a second consecutive start in DeAndre Jordan's stead due to the latter's illness, and promptly posted a second straight double-double. Aldrich has shot a solid 54 percent (15-for-28) over that span, and has been a solid presence on the glass. While his stint of starts will come to an end as soon as Jordan is able to return, Aldrich remains a terrific near-minimum price option in daily leagues as long as he is able to receive starter's minutes.

Aldrich tallied a season-high 19 points (7-14 FG, 5-7 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal across 24 minutes in Wednesday's 104-90 victory over the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

Aldrich was admirable in his first start of the season in place of the ailing DeAndre Jordan (illness) and just his 17th appearance through 39 games. He was able to make hay despite the Heat having rim protector Hassan Whiteside available for 27 minutes off the bench, but Aldrich's run of success likely won't extend beyond Wednesday's contest. The Clippers will have two full days off before taking the court again Saturday against the Kings, which could provide Jordan will enough time to recover from the illness and reclaim his starting spot.
