Wizards exercise the third-year contract option on Chris Singleton. Singleton isn't on the fantasy radar in standard formats, but the Wizards are hopeful he'll develop into a solid defender on the wing with Trevor Ariza currently playing ahead of him.

As expected, Chris Singleton (shoulder) played on Wednesday, but didn't score a point in eight minutes. Singleton didn't even take a shot from the floor, totaling just one rebound while turning the ball over twice. He's going to have to show a lot more than we've seen from him to become relevant in fantasy leagues.

Chris Singleton (shoulder) said that he anticipates playing on Wednesday. Singleton bruised his shoulder last week, but the injury clearly isn't serious if he's already ready to return. After playing 2-on-2 in Tuesday's practice, Singleton declared himself ready to roll. He's competing for minutes at small forward, and we'll need to see a lot more from him to consider him in standard leagues.

Chris Singleton will not play on Saturday due to a bruised right shoulder. Singleton actually started 51 games last season, but he shot 36.3 percent from the field in those games and isn't a fantasy option. He now finds himself scrapping with Cartier Martin for minutes behind Trevor Ariza.

Chris Singleton missed Friday's practice after suffering a shoulder injury during Thursday's game. The injury is being called a 'sore shoulder' for now and it doesn't seem overly serious. If Singleton can stay healthy, he has a shot at some early season minutes if Nene (plantar fasciitis) and Trevor Booker (hamstring) continue to be sidelined. And if injury prone center Emeka Okafor (flu) breaks down, then the Wizards could be forced to rely on Singleton, who struggled in his rookie year.

Chris Singleton ranked 56th out of 63 qualifying small forwards in player effeciency rating this season. It's a fancy way of saying that Singleton was staunchly unimpressive as a rookie. The No. 18 overall pick started 51 of 66 games, but averaged just 4.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.7 assists. Even if Singleton starts at small forward again next year, he's well off the fantasy radar thanks to his limited offensive skills.

Wizards rookie Chris Singleton scored 15 points before fouling out of Sunday's game, making all four of his 3-pointers with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and zero turnovers in 34 minutes. Singleton is known as an excellent defender with shaky offensive skills, and he's shooting just 36.1 percent from the field this season (32.6 percent from downtown). It's helpful that almost 40 percent of his shot attempts are 3-pointers, but we're not going to bite unless he does this a few more times.

Chris Singleton scored six points on 3-of-7 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, and a block over 23 minutes in the Wizards' 97-76 win over the Sixers on Friday. The playing time and production are disappointing, and Singleton hasn't done much lately, but with the injuries to the Wizards' frontcourt he'll be a guy to keep in the back of your mind.

Chris Singleton disappointed on Monday against the Pistons, scoring one points on 0-for-5 shooting with seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 30 minutes. Singleton had a small amount of buzz after showing he could hit threes and provide versatile stat lines, but he has still yet to turn that buzz into anything substantial. Just keep an eye on him as we're late in the year, teammates are getting injured, and he's already playing decent minutes.

Chris Singleton tied his career-high with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including three treys) to go with one rebound, zero assists, two steals, and one block in 36 minutes on Thursday. Singleton hasn't made any real noise in the month of March, so we're hesitant to recommend a speculative add. But with Andray Blatche looking to be a shutdown candidate and minutes clear for Singleton, let's just say we're intrigued with the possibilities. In his last eight games he has averaged just under a three, steal, and block per game in 26 minutes, providing late-round to borderline value.
