Timberwolves signed C Chris Johnson to a second 10-day contract. Johnson has performed reasonably well as a desperation backup to Greg Stiemsma. But with Nikolva Pekovic (knee/quad) on the verge of a return, this will likely be his final stint with the Wolves.

He was signed out of desperation with Nikola Pekovic (quad) out and he's arguably had the best inside presence of any Minnesota player in his tenure. He might get another 10-day contract, which could have a negative impact on Greg Stiemsma (two points, two steals and a career-high six assists in 19 minutes) and Dante Cunnningham (eight points and five boards in 29 minutes). Johnson is only worth a look in very deep leagues since Pekovic shouldn't be out for too long.
