Boucher (finger) is roughly 10 days away from returning to action, per Raptors head coach Nick Nurse, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher underwent surgery eight days ago to address a dislocated middle finger, but it sounds like he's already made decent progress and could be set to only miss one or two regular-season contests. The 10-day timetable seemingly rules Boucher out of the opener next Wednesday versus Washington, but he could potentially be back on the floor for Friday's game at Boston.

Coach Nick Nurse said Monday that Boucher recently underwent surgery on his dislocated left middle finger, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher is expected to miss at least 3-to-4 weeks following his procedure, so he could be forced to miss some time early in the regular season. Precious Achiuwa and Khem Birch are in line for increased run while the 28-year-old is sidelined.

Boucher (finger) has been ruled out for Monday's preseason game against Philadelphia, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher sat out Saturday's practice with a dislocated left middle finger, and it's not a surprise to see he won't be available to play a couple days later. The 28-year-old has a few weeks to get healthy before the start of the regular season.

EDGE Analysis
It's not clear when Boucher will suit up again. It seems possible, if not likely, that he'll sit out Monday's preseason opener against the 76ers.

Boucher wrote on his personal Twitter page Thursday that he will not play for Team Canada at the Tokyo Olympics as he continues to rehab his knee.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher was supposedly healthy at the close of the regular season for Toronto, but he didn't crack the late-season rotations as Toronto was not trying to make the playoffs. The 28-year-old missed nine games late in the season due to a sprained left knee, which is the injury he referenced in his Twitter post. "To all my Team Canada fans asking why I'm not on the roster- I'm disappointed that I won't be playing this summer but I've decided to take the time to continue rehabbing my knee to make sure I'm 100% next season," Boucher said. The injury shouldn't continue to hamper him in the 2021-22 season.

Boucher (coach's decision) did not see the floor in Thursday's 114-102 loss to Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher had been listed as out for Thursday's game, before being upgraded to questionable and then receiving the green light to play. Despite all this, coach Nick Nurse did not play him and instead relied on a rotation of eight players. Boucher will presumably play Friday against Dallas, but it's unclear what Toronto may do at this late stage of the season.

Boucher (knee/rest) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher is not starting despite a wide variety of players being unavailable for Toronto. He should still see a good amount of minutes in the bench role.

Boucher (knee/rest) will play Thursday against Chicago, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boucher had previously been ruled out of the front end of the back-to-back, but he will now be available. He could be in line for a significant workload Thursday with a wide array of Raptors already ruled out.

Boucher (knee/rest) is now listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Previously, the Raptors had ruled Boucher out for maintenance purposes on the front end of a back-to-back, but it looks like they may reverse course and allow the big man to play. A final call likely won't come until close to game time, but if Boucher does play, he'll likely be set for a high minute total. On Tuesday against the Clippers, Boucher played 37 minutes and finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, one steal and one block.

Boucher (rest) will not be available for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
After making his return and playing 37 minutes in Tuesday night's loss to the Clippers, Boucher will sit out as the Raptors head into a Thursday/Friday back-to-back set. It's possible Boucher could return Friday night -- or for Sunday's finale against Indiana -- but with the Raptors eliminated from playoff contention, nothing is guaranteed.
