Caron Butler scored 20 points, a season-high, as the Clippers defeated the Bucks in a grind-it-out game that 'featured' 54 personal fouls.
Caron shot 7-of-15 with two 3-pointers, six rebounds, two steals and zero turnovers. He's proving to be a very nice fit with the Clippers, and while his contract is still too rich and too long, so far he's proving the doubters wrong.

Caron Butler had 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on 7-of-16 shooting Sunday.
He scored 16 in his last one and is worth owning in all leagues, despite being an injury risk. Just keep in mind the Clippers only have two games in Week 2, while the Bucks, Spurs, Thunder and Hawks all play five times.

Caron Butler scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, four assists, and a steal in 39 minutes on Friday against the Bulls.
Butler saw Ryan Gomes cut into his minutes during garbage time on Wednesday, but Butler will get all he can eat going forward. Butler will be a low-end fantasy producer at best behind the rest of the firepower the Clippers have, and he's an injury risk, as well. He should probably be owned in your 12-team league, but hopefully it's not by you.

Caron Butler had just 12 points, one rebound and one assist in 26 minutes on Wednesday.
The Clippers were behind by 15 points after three quarters and Butler ceded minutes to backup SF Ryan Gomes (five points, five rebounds in 26 minutes), but we don't expect the two to split minutes very often.

Caron Butler had 11 points and 10 rebounds on 4-of-10 shooting, and also added a three and three steals Sunday.
He looked pretty good and made a circus shot for good measure. As long as he's healthy, he's a solid fantasy option, especially given the boards tonight. Just beware that he's an injury risk going forward.

Caron Butler made his Clippers debut in Monday's exhibition win over the Lakers, scoring eight points on 3-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with one rebound and one assist.
There are some that view Butler as a solid fantasy option and that's just not us. Butler was struggling before suffering a serious season-ending knee injury last season, and now he's a fourth or fifth option for the Clips, at best. Butler's chances at finishing with 12th round value or better in 8-cat leagues is a coin toss.

Caron Butler and the Clippers have agreed on a three-year contract worth $24 million.
Butler chose the Clippers over the Spurs, Bulls, Heat, Nets, Pistons and Bucks. His $8 million annual salary is more than most of those teams could have offered, and he should immediately start at SF ahead of Ryan Gomes and Al-Farouq Aminu. The veteran Butler will be the Clippers' fourth or fifth scoring option, and we don't anticipate him playing a ton of minutes less than a year removed from knee surgery, so temper your fantasy-league expectations.

The Nets met with unrestricted free agent SF Caron Butler on Wednesday and have another meeting planned on Thursday.
Butler has drawn a lot of interest around the league, but it should be noted that he was struggling before he had major knee (patella) surgery. In reality he's perfect for a 20-25 minute role on a contending team (like the Clippers who he met with earlier in the week), rather than being a No. 2 or 3 guy as some seem to believe he is. For fantasy purposes, we're passing.

Caron Butler will meet with the Los Angeles Clippers again on Tuesday.
Butler met with the team on Monday night following a trip to Chicago to see the Bulls. Butler's agent said that they were "really impressed" with the team and can see the Clippers winning. However, he's still scheduled to meet with the Spurs on Thursday, and doesn't sound any closer to signing just yet.

Free agent Caron Butler will meet with the Clippers on Monday.
It was previously reported that Butler had the Bulls and Clippers as his preferred destinations. He'd serve as the starting small forward for Los Angeles, and would bring an element of grit and toughness to the front line. The team also has interest in Tayshaun Prince, and Los Angeles has cap space to sign either player.
