Diaw came off the bench and played just eight minutes in Sunday's 105-91 loss to the Nuggets, scoring two points (2-2 FT) and adding two rebounds and one assist.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw received the starting nod at power forward in Thursday's game against the Bulls, but after resting in the first game of the Jazz's weekend back-to-back set against the Rockets on Saturday, the veteran ended up seeing only limited run off the bench Sunday. Rather than leaning on Diaw to replace the injured Derrick Favors (knee) in the lineup like he did earlier this season, coach Quin Snyder seems inclined to give the higher-upside Trey Lyles a look with the top unit. Lyles ended up seeing 21 minutes to Diaw's eight Sunday, and that playing-time gap could become a regular occurrence for the duration of Favors' absence.

Diaw will get a spot start in Thursday's matchup against the Bulls, Jazz radio announcer David Locke reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw, who just returned from an eight game absence, will start in place of the injured Derrick Favors on Thursday. He played 20 minutes in his return against the Grizzlies on Monday, and is likely in line for a similar workload Thursday. Trey Lyles will presumably see an increased workload as well, given the team's lack of frontcourt depth at the moment.

Diaw will likely start Thursday against Chicago, Tony Jones of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw isn't locked in as a starter, but with Derrick Favors (knee) out, the starting power forward position would be a matchup between Diaw and Trey Lyles. More information on who will be starting Thursday should be disclosed come closer to game time.

Diaw (leg) put up six points (3-4 FG), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 21 minutes in Monday's 102-96 loss to the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
After Diaw missed the previous eight games with a leg contusion, the Jazz may have been more inclined to ease the Frenchman back in, but he ended up clearing 20 minutes after Derrick Favors was forced to leave the contest early with recurring left knee soreness. It's uncertain if Favors will be available for the Jazz's next game Thursday against the Bulls, but Diaw would certainly benefit if Favors is deemed unavailable. However, it may be difficult for Diaw to surpass 30 minutes even if he gets the start in place of Favors, as fellow reserve big man Trey Lyles is a good bet to absorb some of Favors' playing time after amassing a season-high 18 points Monday.

Diaw (leg) will play in Monday's matchup against the Grizzlies, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw has been sidelined for the previous eight games, as he has dealt with a leg injury. His return is relatively unsurprising considering he was able to take part in team's shootaround Monday morning. Diaw could see a healthy workload right away, as Derrick Favors is still a game-time decision for the contest. If Favors does play, look for the Jazz to ease Diaw back into action.

Diaw (leg) took part in shootaround Monday morning, Andy Larsen of KSL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw hasn't played in a week-and-a-half while battling a bruised leg, but his participation in shootaround could foreshadow a return to action Monday night against the Grizzlies, which would put him slightly ahead of the team's original two-week return timeline. The Jazz are also calling George Hill (thumb), Derrick Favors (knee) and Rodney Hood (illness) questionable Monday night.

The Jazzz have listed Diaw (leg) as questionable for Saturday's game against the Heat, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw has been sidelined since Nov. 3 due to a leg injury. He was originally expected to miss two weeks, which would put a return Saturday slightly ahead of schedule. The veteran figures to provide depth in the frontcourt if he is able to return Saturday.

Diaw (leg) is expected to be sidelined for roughly two weeks, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Diaw's injury is still being listed a leg contusion, but it's apparently a little more serious than originally thought. The 34-year-old will likely sit out for the next two weeks, which means he could miss upwards of eight games while recovering. Derrick Favors remains on a minutes restriction while being eased into action, so Trey Lyles should continue to get a ton of run off the bench.
