Johnson's now totaled 69 points over his past two games as he's turned into a human flamethrower from the field. The La Salle products' impressed all season, particularly with his defensive ability and incredible 44.9 percent shooting from behind the arc. On the year, Johnson's averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.1 steals while shooting 45.9 percent from the field, 44.9 percent from three and 84.8 percent from the line in 35.4 minutes per game.

Johnson totaled 34 points (10-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds, three assists and three steals in Saturday's win over the Herd.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson topped 30 points for the second time this year, generating a new season-high in Saturday's rematch with the Herd. His efforts led to a team-high plus-14 net rating as Johnson excelled as one of the two focal points of Lakeland's injury-shortened rotation. Johson's taken at least 18 shots in each of his past four games and can be expected to continue putting up massive numbers for the foreseeable future.

Johnson will be available for Monday's game against Chicago.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson was recalled by the Magic after scoring 55 total points over his past two G League outings. That said, it seems likely that Johnson will be held to a rotational depth role as Orlando isn't currently dealing with too many injuries to their group of wings.

Johnson posted 29 points (12-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, an assist and a steal in 33 minutes during Thursday's win over South Bay.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson had a much more efficient game Thursday as Josh Magette and Vic Law rejoined Lakeland's lineup. Johson's managed to find ways to score even when his jumper's not falling. He's totaled 56 points over his past two appearances and is averaging 22.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.1 assists in 34.5 minutes through 16 G League games this season.

Johnson accounted for 27 points (7-22 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, one steal and a block in 43 minutes during Sunday's blowout loss to Long Island.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson took control of Lakeland's offense with both Vic Law and Josh Magette not playing Sunday. Though the 27 points were impressive, Johnson struggled with his shot and was often met with multiple defenders. Look for the La Salle alum to regress to around his usual 44.3 percent field goal percentage in Thursday's tilt with South Bay.

Johnson was transferred Wednesday to the Magic from the G League's Lakeland Magic.

EDGE Analysis

The two-way player has been productive at the G League level this season, but he's unlikely to handle more than a depth role Wednesday for the NBA team, if he even plays at all. Johnson has made just one three-minute appearance for Orlando in 2019-20.

Johnson recorded 22 points (7-20 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists and a steal in 33 minutes during Friday's win over the Swarm.

EDGE Analysis

Though it wasn't the most picturesque performance, Johnson led Lakeland to a hard-fought win over the Swarm. The La Salle product's asserted himself as one of the top players in the G-League and is amongst the best candidates to receive a longer-duration call-up to Orlando this season.

Johnson posted 21 points (6-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four steals, three rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Go-Go.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson continues to be formidable on both sides of the ball, though his ball control Wednesday was a bit lacking. Five turnovers aside, Johnsons' averages of 21.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.9 assists in 33.9 minutes per game this season are impressive. Due to his defensive prowess, there's a solid chance for the La Salle alum to be called up at some point this year.

Johnson generated 24 points (8-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, two steals and a block in 32 minutes during Sunday's loss Delaware.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson continues to impress with his scoring ability as he's averaging 21.3 points, good for 17th best in the G-League. Unfortunately, his strong play hasn't been quite enough as Lakeland's dropped three-of-four games after beginning the season 4-1.

Johnson contributed 16 points (5-22 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two steals, a rebound and a block in 37 minutes during Monday's loss to Austin.

EDGE Analysis

Johnson had his worst game of the season as he struggled to get anything going from the field and was unable to provide much elsewhere with his minus-25 net rating a direct indication of his struggles. That said, the 23-year-old's having a strong season for the Magic's G-League affiliate and will look to get back on track Sunday against Delaware.
