Davis' numbers have been stellar, so the 2-2 record isn't due to a lack of effort from the All-Star. Better backcourt play provided more balance Monday, which helped every starter. Over four games, Davis has 11 blocks.

It will be difficult to beat the Lakers this season when Davis and LeBron James are both healthy. After a mediocre beginning against the Nuggets, Davis turned on the gas and delivered a signature performance. The All-Star recorded 13 points and five rebounds in the fourth quarter to help erase the Suns' 12-point lead, joined by a 10-point, four-rebound showing from James to seal the win.

Davis ended with 17 points (6-17 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 119-107 loss to the Nuggets.

Davis struggled from the field and finished with an equal amount of points and field goal attempts, something that's not positive for any player, especially one that lives and dies near the rim. Davis had a tough matchup since he had to deal with Nikola Jokic, and he should deliver improved numbers -- especially in terms of efficiency -- in the upcoming contests.
