Simons, who's averaging 22.2 points, 6.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game since the beginning of February, should endure another heavy workload when the Blazers face the Thunder on Wednesday.

Simons is undoubtedly a proven scorer, but he had been delivering some inconsistent performances of late, failing to surpass the 10-point mark in two of his last five outings since the conclusion of the All-Star break while reaching the 20-point mark in the other three. During that five-game stretch, Simons averaged 18.8 points per game while shooting 37.2 percent from the field.

Simons unsurprisingly worked as the focal point on offense for Portland on Tuesday, taking 11 more shots than any other player on the team. However, he wasn't very efficient with those attempts, though he was able to shoot a respectable 4-for-11 from three-point range. Simons should continue to get ample opportunity to hoist up shots, which makes him a viable source of scoring for fantasy managers who are willing to stomach his 42.5 percent field-goal rate on the campaign.

Simons ended Sunday's 93-80 loss to the Hornets with 10 points (4-21 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four rebounds across 35 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Simons was expected to be among the offensive leaders for the Trail Blazers on Sunday, but instead, he made just four of his 21 shots en route to a 10-point effort -- his fourth-worst performance of the campaign. Simons should be good enough to bounce back sooner than later, however, as he has scored at least 20 points in five of his seven February appearances, though he'll have a tough matchup against the Heat on Tuesday.
