Nembhard put forth his best game of the postseason to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, surpassing the 20-point mark for the second time of the playoffs and for the first time in the series against New York.

Nembhard put together arguably his best performance of the postseason, especially when it comes to his efforts on the defensive end. Having been worked over by Jalen Brunson in the past couple of games, Nembhard appeared as though he was focused on making amends for his recent shortcomings. Although Brunson ended with a game-high 31 points, many of those came with the game already in the bag for Indiana. If the Pacers are to walk out of Madison Square Garden with a victory Sunday, Nembhard may need to again be more than a traffic cone on defense.

Nembhard ended Sunday's 109-94 loss to Milwaukee in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with six points (2-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three assists in 30 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Nembhard had very little impact in the loss, continuing what has been a disappointing season despite his starting role. His lack of production highlights the Pacers' need for a reliable secondary backcourt option, something Nemhard has failed to do. Fans will be hoping he can at least be moderately impactful in Game 2.

Nembhard's efficient shooting helped him lead Indiana in scoring during Wednesday's blowout loss to the Bulls. The 23-year-old guard has now recorded at least one steal in three straight contests. Across his 14 appearances in March, Nembhard is posting 52.3/37.8/77.8 shooting splits.

Nembhard continues to do just enough to be considered in standard fantasy leagues, as evidenced by his performance Tuesday. He appears locked in as a starter moving forward, typically seeing upwards of 28 minutes on most nights. However, he has seen only 21 and 25 minutes in each of the past two games, with the coaching staff opting to lean a little more into their bench. While Nembhard can be rostered for assists and steals, he is by no means a must-roster player.

EDGE Analysis

Nembhard scored the first bucket of the game for Indiana, but his evening was quiet from then forward. Given his status as a low-volume three-point shooter and a tertiary facilitator, his fantasy profile has a very limited ceiling as long as Tyrese Haliburton is active.
