Andray Blatche officially re-signs with Nets. Blatche received a one-year, $1.4 million deal, choosing to stay in Brooklyn rather than take a little extra money elsewhere. Blatche proved last season he can be a useful NBA player and should take another step forward in his maturation process under the tutelage of Kevin Garnett. Unfortunately, his minutes will likely take a step back.

Andray Blatche and his friends will not face any charges regarding the January incident involving an alleged sexual assault. The investigation was for an alleged rape of a woman by at least one other man in Blatche's hotel room. Blatche is all set to play for the Nets again next year on a one-year, $1.4 million deal. He is unlikely to get more minutes with Kevin Garnett joining the Nets this season.

Andray Blatche will agree to one-year, $1.4 million deal with the Nets. Blatche probably would have made a bit more somewhere else and might have gotten his hands on some sort of deal on a second year, but staying in Brooklyn has its benefits. He will get some much needed playoff exposure and learn behind the relentless Kevin Garnett, and with a second relatively good year in a row he could command a much better deal next offseason.

The Clippers and Warriors are interested in Andray Blatche. The Nets have already met with Blatche and should be considered as the front runners. All three of these teams are fairly tight on cap space, but Blatche isn't expected to receive a large contract despite his strong comeback season.

Andray Blatche will meet with Jason Kidd on Monday. The Nets got a bargain with Blatche last year at $1.1 million last season, but this year he won't come at such a severe discount. He was arguably the Nets' second-best big man, shooting 51.2 percent for 10.3 points per game in 82 games. The Nets may have a tough time committing money to Blatche with the Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce deal on Thursday, though.

Impending free agent Andray Blatche has been working out at the Nets' facilities and has said that he'd like to re-sign with Brooklyn. Blatche would reprise a backup role behind Brook Lopez and Kevin Garnett if he does re-sign, and the over-the-cap Nets may not be able to offer him more than $1.4 million annually. Given his competent play last season, averaging 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 19 minutes per game, the 26-year-old big man would likely be taking a pay cut to stay with the Nets.

The Nets may only be able to offer impending free agent Andray Blatche 120 percent of his 2012-13 salary, or under $1.5 million. The Nets are likely to use their lone salary-cap exception to sign European G/F Bojan Bogdanovic, which means they'd have to lure Blatche with the promise of a hefty role and a potential payday in the summer of 2014. Both sides have expressed a desire to work out a new deal, but it all depends upon how the market shapes up for Blatche's services.

Andray Blatche hinted that playing time will play a role in whether or not he re-signs with the Nets. GM Billy King does not anticipate Blatche commanding more than the veteran's minimum on the open market, but that's not certain. "Just getting the right minutes, really and playing helping out," Blatche said when asked about his role. "I played the 4 my whole career." If Blatche is looking for a starting role, he might be looking for a while.

Andray Blatche said that his plan "as of now" is to re-sign with Brooklyn as an unrestricted free agent. Blatche helped rehab his image with solid play off the Nets' bench this season, averaging 10.3 points on 51.2 percent shooting, with 5.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks in just 19 minutes per game. Assuming he does stay with the Nets, he'll be a solid handcuff for Brook Lopez in fantasy leagues.

Andray Blatche said his injured calf is "all right" and expects to play in Game 6 on Thursday. "It's sore, but it's all right though," he said. Blatche won't be at full strength, but he's healthy enough to play and his contributions have been an important part of what the Nets are doing when they're having success in the first round. We wouldn't be surprised to see Blatche push 20-25 minutes.
