Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies left a lot of the burden to his bullpen Saturday versus the Pirates. A day after a rain delay caused the Brewers bullpen to have to cover the final five innings, Davies would only last four innings Saturday. He only allowed two runs but the Brewers would be shutout. Davies has not gone beyond 15 outs in an outing in any of the four starts since returning from his injury. Davies is now 2-7 with a 4.65 ERA in 2018. He is not much of a fantasy option [...]

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies did his job Saturday of keeping his team in the game against Pittsburgh. He lasted five innings allowing only two runs. Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies (shoulder) will come off the disabled list to start on Monday against the Cubs. Davies has had multiple setbacks in his comeback trail and last pitched in the majors on May 29 against the Cardinals. He wasn't particularly effective before his injury either, going 2-5 with a 5.23 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 31 strikeouts in 43 innings over eight starts. You should look to avoid him in his first start back against the first-place Cubbies.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies was optioned to the minors on Thursday along with Corey Knebel. Unlike Knebel, this doesn't look like a demotion, but more of an opportunity for Davies to get in some extra time before returning to the majors from a shoulder injury. Davies had a breakout year in 2017 with 15 wins and a 3.90 ERA and looked to be a solid pitching choice heading into this year, but unfortunately it didn't pan out as he took a 5.23 ERA with him onto the disabled list.[...]
