Zach Davies Earns Victory In Friars Debut rotoballer.com Wed 7/29/20 11:34 AM
San Diego Padres starter Zach Davies earned a victory Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants, yielding three runs (two earned) and striking out five in five-plus frames. Davies was victim to sloppy fielding with a first-inning unearned run, but settled in comfortably until being lifted with two baserunners aboard in the sixth inning that ultimately scored. The 27-year-old offers modest fantasy value with a 17 percent career strikeout rate but has a stronghold on the starter job and can serve ...
Zach Davies Allows One Run on Friday rotoballer.com Sat 2/29/20 1:10 AM
San Diego Padres starter Zach Davies allowed one run on three hits and one walk over two innings against the Cubs on Friday. The 27-year old had now allowed just one run over four innings this spring. Davies finished last season with a 3.55 ERA and 10 wins over 159 innings last season. Davies doesn't have the strikeout or wins upside to be considered more than a fantasy streamer.
Zach Davies Sharp In Spring Debut rotoballer.com Sun 2/23/20 8:49 PM
San Diego Padres starter Zach Davies blanked the Milwaukee Brewers across two innings Sunday in his spring training debut. Facing his former squad, Davies received the nominal start and retired six batters in succession, including a strikeout. The 27-year-old tallied a 3.55 ERA (4.56 FIP) in 159 2/3 innings last season (31 starts) and is projected as fourth in the Friars 2020 rotation. With a career 3.91 ERA over five seasons, Davies fantasy stock gets a boost as he transfers to pitcher-friendly...
Gio Gonzalez, Zach Davies Won't Pitch Tuesday rotoballer.com Tue 10/1/19 2:42 PM
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitchers Gio Gonzalez and Zach Davies won't pitch in Tuesday's Wild Card game against the Washington Nationals. Davies drew the start on Friday and Gonzalez threw 72 pitches on Saturday. It's a one-game playoff game, so neither will pitch in that contest. It appears the rest of the Brewers staff will be available for the do-or-die game on Tuesday.
Zach Davies Activated, Starting on Monday rotoballer.com Mon 8/19/19 6:14 PM
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies (back) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday. He was sidelined last week due to back spasms, but will return to the rotation versus the St. Louis Cardinals here. Davies has a 3.74 ERA through 23 starts with the Brewers this season. He was getting roughed up before the injury, but hopefully he can bounce back here.
Zach Davies Will Return on Monday rotoballer.com Fri 8/16/19 5:58 PM
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies (back) is expected to come off the 10-day injured list and draw the start against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday. Davies was placed on the injured list last week due to back spasms. He has a 3.74 ERA over 23 starts this season, so fantasy owners should be happy he's coming back this quickly. Davies has arguably been the best Brewers starter all season, so they will need him for a playoff push.
Zach Davies to Throw Bullpen Session Wednesday rotoballer.com Tue 8/13/19 6:04 PM
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies (back) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday. Davies has already thrown twice successful, so he should be back on the mound soon, assuming this session goes well. Davis has been on the injured list since August 5 due to back spasms. He's not expected to need a rehab start, so he could be back with the team next week.
Zach Davies Reportedly to Injured List rotoballer.com Mon 8/5/19 4:55 PM
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies is heading to the injured list with a not-yet disclosed ailment. Davies held a 2.20 ERA after 12 starts which has since regressed to 3.74. His peripherals in those first 12 starts did not inspire confidence but perhaps this injury became a hindrance as well. Once the move is official, Davies will be a drop anywhere his roster spot is needed, thanks to the still-weak peripherals (e.g. a 5.22 xFIP), lack of strikeout stuff (just 14.9% of batters) and[...]
Zach Davies Continues Struggles Friday rotoballer.com Fri 8/2/19 8:25 PM
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Davies gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks through four innings in Friday's loss to the Cubs. This is the third bad start in a row and the fourth loss in a row for Davies, who had some pretty great numbers in the first half of the season, but it mostly looked like smoke a mirrors. Davies does provide some upside in deep points leagues, but in most cases he doesn't need to be rostered.
